Cherry Blossom Festival in the Gardens of the World
April 11 and 12, 2026
A floral spectacle from the Far East: At the Gardens of the World in Berlin-Marzahn, the 2026 Cherry Blossom Festival will welcome spring. Around 25,000 visitors can look forward to dances, drum performances, culinary specialties, and a fashion show. The highlight is the 20th anniversary of the Korean Garden. Families will enjoy giant games, and cosplayers will compete in a contest.

Achtung Berlin - New Berlin Film Award
April 15–22, 2026
The film festival for new German cinema will showcase current films from Berlin and Brandenburg over the course of a week. Approximately 70 feature films, documentaries, mid-length films, and short films will be screened, including world and German premieres. The festival will kick off in 2026 with “Mambo Maternica,” a story about three women caught between self-determination and societal expectations.
