EasyCityPass Berlin tips: May 2026

After the long winter, we’re all looking forward to spring. Finally, we can spend more time outdoors than on the couch at home.

To help you explore the city on a stroll, we have three special EasyCityPass Berlin partners in May that we’d like to introduce to you: With Stadt im Ohr, you can explore Berlin using your smartphone, at your own pace. With City Codes Berlin, you solve puzzles as you walk through the city. If you’re in the mood for a bird’s-eye view of Berlin, take to the skies with the Weltballon.

When the weather is mild, a trip to the outskirts of the city to the Hoppegarten Racetrack is also highly recommended. It’s an experience not just for horse racing fans. When evenings stay warm late into the night, Berlin also offers numerous open-air cinemas. You’ll find all the details in the relevant blog posts.

The event calendar for May includes, for example, the E-Prix at Tempelhofer Feld, International Museum Day, and, as a highlight, the colorful Carnival of Cultures.

Weltballon (World ballon)

The Weltballon Berlin is one of the largest tethered balloons in the world and offers a 360° view of the city from a height of about 150 meters at Checkpoint Charlie. From there, you can see many famous landmarks, such as the Brandenburg Gate and Potsdamer Platz. The ride lasts about 10–15 minutes and is weather-dependent.
