You can reserve tickets in advance. However, you must present a valid EasyCityPass on-site without being asked. The discount applies to each EasyCityPass holder. So if there are two of you and you want to take advantage of the discount, both of you must have a valid EasyCityPass. Yes, you must present a valid photo ID during an inspection so that officials can verify that the ticket really belongs to you. For children, their age may be verified.
You don’t need to scan the QR code on your EasyCityPass yourself. During a ticket inspection, the QR code will be checked by the authorized inspection staff.

Dogs, Bicycles, and Luggage
Yes, you can bring your dog on public transportation for free. However, there are a few things to keep in mind:
Berlin:
As a general rule, your pet must not endanger or disturb other passengers. Even if your dog is friendly, you must be considerate of passengers who are afraid of animals or have allergies. The transit staff will decide on a case-by-case basis whether your dog can ride. In certain situations, you may therefore be denied permission to bring your dog on board.
If your pet fits inside a closed carrier, you can bring it along for free. Dogs not in a carrier must be on a leash, wear a suitable muzzle, and have a reduced-fare ticket (child’s ticket).
An exception applies to guide dogs and service dogs for people with disabilities: They may ride at any time free of charge and without being required to wear a muzzle or be on a leash, even during training.
With the EasyCityPass Berlin, one dog per ticket holder is included free of charge on public transit within the valid area (Berlin AB or Berlin ABC fare zones).
Vienna:
On Wiener Linien, small pets may travel free of charge in enclosed carriers. Larger dogs must be on a leash and wear a muzzle, and require a discounted single-ride ticket (child fare), unless the owner has a Wiener Linien annual pass—in which case one dog may travel for free.
Dogs are allowed on ÖBB trains if they are either transported free of charge in a small carrier or have their own ticket while on a leash and wearing a muzzle.
With the EasyCityPass Vienna, one dog or one child under the age of 15 may ride for free on public transportation in Vienna’s core zone per ticket.
