The „Märchenhütten“ – the fairytale huts

When the weather turns cold and winter draws near, it’s fairy-tale time in the wooden cabins in Monbijou Park. Outside, it is bitterly cold; inside, the wood-burning stoves warm cold fingers and toes. The ancient timber of our Polish wooden cabins begins to stir, with creaking beams, groaning wood, and squeaking doors. And then, the characters from the fairy tales of old come to life. With the EasyCityPass Berlin, you can save 20% on the standard ticket.*

For children and adults

By day, the huts and their fairy tales belong to the children. The Seven Dwarfs fret over Snow White, the Hare and the Hedgehog race to see who crosses the finish line first, and the Snow Queen turns hearts to ice.

When evening falls, the grown-ups take over. Rumpel and Stiltskin fight over their rights – but who’s really guilty? Little Red Riding Hood comes face to face with the Wolf in the woods. The Frog Prince simply has to be kissed! Cinderella refuses to marry the Prince (he insists on a virgin!), and the Fisherman and His Wife are no longer seeing eye to eye.

We breathe new life into the old familiar tales – improvised, spontaneous, lively, and fun. Theatre you can almost touch: accessible, intimate, and welcoming. Laughter and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.
