1. Pride month
Vienna Pride is the largest LGBTIQ event in Austria and will take place from May 25 to June 9, 2024. As every year, the highlight is the rainbow parade on June 8, which is expected to attract more than 300,000 people who will celebrate and demonstrate together. Those who prefer a more sporty approach can take part in the Pride Run Vienna on Vienna's Ringstrasse on June 7. After 5 km, the finish line is the Pride Village on Rathausplatz.
Community associations, LGBTIQ artists, and cooperation partners will be presenting themselves in the Pride Village from June 6 to 8, inviting you to experience LGBTIQ culture and support its causes!

2. Summer Night Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
The Vienna Philharmonic's open-air concert in Schönbrunn Palace Park will take place on June 7, 2024, at 8:30 pm. Maestro Andris Nelsons will conduct the concert and the Norwegian opera and lieder singer Lise Davidsen will be the soloist. She will sing two arias - from Richard Wagner's Tannhäuser and Giuseppe Verdi's La forza del destino.
The first Summer Night Concert took place in 2004. The idea of making classical music possible for everyone and thus giving a gift to all music lovers still characterizes the event today. This year's program focuses on works from the 19th and 20th centuries from Europe's rich musical heritage.

The BossHoss unplugged Duo feat. Sascha and Alec will perform, with Paralympic swimmer and ORF presenter Andreas Onea as host.
1,000 national and international artists, 17 themed islands, 14 stages, 700 hours of program, and 4.5 kilometers of festival grounds - that's the Danube Island Festival 2024.
Wanda, Christina Stürmer, Ronan Keating, Peter Kraus, Semino Rossi... from rock and pop to Austro-pop, there's something for everyone. But it's not just about singing. There is a varied sports and dance program for all those who want to be active themselves: yoga, flunky ball, basketball, beach volleyball, and hands-on stations await you! If you don't want to miss a single match of the European Football Championships, there are also public viewing options at the Danube Island Festival.
Is the Danube Island Festival suitable for families? Definitely. There are game challenges, face painting, handicrafts, and the popular OKIDOKI characters, who can be met at meet & greets.
