FOTO ARSENAL WIEN is Austria’s new center for photographic images and lens-based media.
It is dedicated to both analog and digital forms of expression, ranging from historical to contemporary photography. The aim is to make socially relevant issues visible through images.

At its location in the Arsenal, approximately 1,000 m² of exhibition space is available. Up to six exhibitions per year present a broad spectrum of photography, featuring young talents, overlooked perspectives, and internationally renowned artists. A dedicated education and outreach section – “Activities” – offers workshops for children, youth, and adults, supported by specially designed seminar rooms and an analog darkroom. These educational programs encourage active exchange and the development of media literacy.
