Founded in 1718, the “Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten”, the Augarten Porcelain Museum, is one of the oldest and most renowned porcelain manufactories in Europe. Since its very first days, the company has been devoted to producing the highest quality of porcelain.

Each piece of porcelain has been a reflection of the company’s standards for excellence. The manufactory’s porcelain has come to be world renowned for its timeless grace and elegance. On a tour of the Porcelain factory and Museum, you will learn about the art of porcelain specifically focusing on the interconnectedness of every step of the process. Our trained guides at the Augarten Porcelain Museum will explain the production and history of the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory.
Porcelain Museum
At the beginning of the exhibition, guests learn about the genesis of porcelain in China and the European fascination with the product which ensued. You will learn more about the various production stages required to achieve the highest quality of porcelain. In addition, we host two special exhibitions every year that touch upon historical and the current thematic surrounding Viennese porcelain.
