Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region (VOR) GmbH is the largest public transport association in Austria and has been ensuring nationwide mobility and comprehensive service for all passengers in Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland with more than 40 rail and bus transport partners since 1984.
Describe the VOR in one sentence.
As a transport association, we ensure the functioning of public transport in the eastern region. We
- generate timetables for buses and trains
- order these journeys from about 40 transport companies
- are responsible for the tariff and
- provide the customer information on our routing service VOR AnachB.
What will be the highlights at the VOR in 2021?
2021 there will be new connections for great destinations, for example.
- to the Viennese Alps
- to the Wachau or the Kamptal
- or to the Mariazellerland
What makes the VOR so special?
Over 11,000 stops, 1 billion passengers per year, and 5,000 vehicles in operation.
