The Heart of Vienna's Photo District

The WestLicht photography museum holds 700 valuable historical photographic devices and special cameras, and rotating photography exhibits round out the offer. The exhibition posters in the lobby will give you a taste of the variety contained in the Westlicht Photography Museum. The Museum has been a major part of Vienna’s bustling cultural scene since 2001. Surrounded by expert camera shops, WestLicht’s secret soon got out, and this creative space now offers photo-loving visitors a variety of photo exhibits, exciting camera and photo auctions, a large range of photobooks and posters, as well as a pleasant café.

For 25 years, the Vienna-based WestLicht Museum of Photography has been a key hub for international photography: serving as an exhibition venue, a camera museum, a space for discourse, and a meeting place for photographers, collectors, and photography enthusiasts from around the world.
