The Ava is tucked away on the Warsaw Bridge in the middle of Berlin's young party scene. Calling itself "a retreat for those who want the Berlin club scene to be a place without hype and excessive door policies," AVA Club is a small spot by Warschauer Platz with mostly local DJs playing house and techno. About 400 guests fit into the AVA. The entrance fee and the drink prices are moderate. The sound system has a good quality. Separated from the dance floor there is a bar and some furniture to plant. The club still looks like an old table dance bar with large mirrors and Adonis statue. The torch lights, as well as the furniture from an ice cream café should not go unmentioned. Though a range of different parties take place at the club, each week is punctuated by two residencies: Techno Mittwoch on Wednesdays and Hot Box, a queer party for "any and all genders" on Friday nights.
