Polar Expedition

Stepping into the Berlin Icebar transports you from the streets of Berlin to a tavern in 19th-century Bremerhaven. Here, you join the crew of the Hansa, the research ship of the Second German North Polar Expedition. As you wait to board the ship, you can enjoy your first included drink of the adventure.

When the captain calls you to board the ship, you will be given a nice warm coat and gloves to prepare you for the freezing adventure ahead. The original Hansa crew was forced to survive an entire winter on an ice floe with limited supplies and under threat from polar bears. Luckily the Berlin Icebar isn’t quite that extreme of an adventure.

Temperatures in the Berlin Icebar

Inside the Icebar it is a constant -10° Celsius and everything is made out of ice. The walls, the art, the photo ops, and the glasses that contain your second and third free drinks of the adventure. 40 thousand kilos of ice were used to create the Icebar, and a team of eight ice sculptors worked to create the incredible pieces on display. From frozen polar bears to a sculpture of King Wilhelm I, and much more. Do you have what it takes to go on this ice-cold experience?
