Middle Ages, villas, and kale!
Hohenschönhausen is mainly known for the former Stasi prison and prefabricated buildings. But the Hohenschönhausen district has much more to offer, as the tour shows: From the medieval village church, one of the smallest in Berlin, you walk along with an old village and past industrial monuments to the Obersee. In 1932/33, Mies van der Rohe built Haus Lemke, a jewel of the Bauhaus school, in the existing villa colony of the imperial era. A monument from the same time is the Flusspferdsiedlung, which has been renovated in accordance with the requirements of listed buildings. A district with so many undiscovered places and stories. What else can we expect here? Please note, this tour is only available in German!
